Qualifications and Experience
SalusWorld presently has a roster of highly qualified professionals who can offer support to international and local staff as well as partner organizations. Deployment lengths will vary according to need. We also have psychologists available to support humanitarian organizations working domestically via telephone counseling and/or online support or intensive retreats.
• Licensed clinicians in psychology, psychiatry or social work; additional education
• 5+ years working to implement mental health and psychosocial-related programs
• Project management
• Research design, implementation and technical report writing
• International work with mental health and psychosocial programming
• Overseas experience in post conflict rehabilitation and recovery settings
• Training and capacity building of national institutions
• Training trainers/local counselors
• Theoretical and practical grasp of gender issues and experience working at grassroots level addressing SGBV issues
• Program management including staff supervision, program design, implementation and monitoring, and report writing
• Multi-cultural, multi-national work settings
• Commitment to ending sexual and gender-based violence
• Community mobilization and building associations
• Working with victims and perpetrators of sexual gender-based violence and individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS
