Elaine Hanson, Executive Director
Dr. Hanson is a licensed clinical psychologist and attorney with experience working internationally and training others to work internationally. She is an expert in trauma and trauma interventions. Dr. Hanson has worked in postwar Bosnia and Herzegovina supervising the work of advanced psychology students working with war trauma. During the summer of 2005 she supervised the work of students working in a variety of NGOs in South Africa. She is the former Academic Director of the International Center for Disaster Psychology at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology in Denver. She is also former faculty at the University of Colorado, Wardenburg Counseling Center, in Boulder. She is the past president of the Colorado Neuropsychological Society. She received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver in 1996 and her law degree from the University of Colorado in 1981.
